Master Casting instructor's task 1: narrow loops no haul 15,2 m line.

As instructor and member, since 2008, of the Fly Fishers

International (FFF) I constantly practice and teach for casting and

casting tuition.







Every single aspect of casting and

(especially, too ofte forgotten) his application to fishing, needs a

special focus and attention.







Every single movement we

produce with the body is reflected on the casting motion and finally, on

the fly line and fly presentation.







For this reason the

5 basic principles of casting and their full aknowledgement, the

ability to easily explain and teach them is very important.







Our phisical motion and body language are tremendously important while casting.







Every

single movement has to be accurately focused and almost like in a zen

practice repeated pursuing always the improvement and "ideal

perfection".







Casting analysis is very suggested to be done with an

instructor and at the same time using some devices to better shoot out

mistakes and casting faults.











In the video is

showed what we call the Master casting instructor test task 1. In other

words with 15,2 meters of fly line (plus leader and fly, and WITH NO

LEFT HAND USE, NO HAUL) the focus is producing 6 full false casts with

narrow loops (maximum 3 feet loop height, 90 cm), including the pick up

cast, often insidious and tricky.







Controlling this kind

of motion will improve a lot the casting sensibility and control. Even

if you think, do not understimate 15,2 meters of fly line (with no haul

and this target loop to be acheived) because it is a lot!







We

will be able to master that thin bordr between the tightest loop

possible and the tailing loop, and this border respect is all within our

mind and body control.
